Vernewell Academy recently participated in a vital conversation about the integral role of education in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Center for Learning Innovations & Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) Symposium. Our esteemed Provost, Dr. Nabil El Kadhi, represented Vernewell Academy during this important event, which focused on “The Role of Higher Education in Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Strategies, Developments, and Lessons Learnt.”
The symposium took place alongside the second edition of the International Awards for Excellence in Higher Education, managed by CLICKS, on March 9, 2023, in Dubai, UAE. The event underscored the crucial responsibility that higher education institutions have in realizing the UN’s 17 SDGs.
As pivotal contributors to knowledge creation, research, and innovation, higher education institutions have the power to educate and empower new generations, ultimately shaping the future workforce. In the context of the 2030 Agenda, these institutions play a central role in achieving the United Nations’ SDGs.
